Mission and Purpose

Sierra Pacific Educational Adventure's purpose is to produce a diverse curriculum of enjoyable, educational and inspirational forums, trips, naturalist activities and expeditions. The general scope of these experiences and forums are environmental processes, mechanisms, and phenomena, as well as social, cultural and natural history. Providing programs that have a sense of adventure is integral to program make-up. Programs for teaching the skills necessary to take part in outdoor adventures is also within the scope of activities e.g., camping skills, First Aid skills. Activities include both passive and hands-on discovery. The "on-site, hands-on, or in-view" nature of the activities accompanied by knowledgeable instructors enhances the learning process and enjoyment of the activities. The general enrichment of participants lives is an underlying purpose. Members are rewarded with the knowledge gained, socialization, inspiration, and fellowship.

Sierra Pacific Educational Adventures is a nonprofit mutual benefit organization. Federal and state governments distinguish between various types of nonprofit organizations. Donations made to Sierra Pacific Educational Adventures are not tax deductible
